Circular Awards

By 2050, the Dutch economy must run entirely on reusable raw materials. This is necessary to protect our environment and to be less dependent on other countries. The transition to a circular economy is a challenging process in which everyone in the Netherlands ultimately plays a role.

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, together with the parties involved, wants to celebrate what is already going well in this process, put on the agenda what still needs to be done and ensure that people meet, get to know and inspire each other. Together with Lustr we produced this conference in Theatre the Spiegel in Zwolle. With a plenary opening and closing, many different sessions and the presentation of the Circular Awards.

Many elements of the decor came from the thrift store and were sold to visitors during the event.

"A circular economy is a total system change, you don't just do that between soup and potatoes"
Vivianne Heijnen - Secretary of State
